SUMMARY:2nd Annual Thousand Islands Boat Tour
DESCRIPTION:This tour takes place two days before work weekend and is a great way to get to know the actives.  The tour last 2 and half hours including a one hour stop at Bolt Castle.  There is food and libation on board.  The boat departs at 12:30.  Tickets can be purchased from Uncle Sam Boat Tour for the 2 nation tour or at the boat on the day.  Tickets are $30.  A passport is NOT necessary. \n

SUMMARY:13th Annual Work Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Our 13th annual (can you believe it?!) work weekend is scheduled for the weekend after labor day to reduce scheduling conflicts.  As always this event is a great way to get to know the actives and give back to the house.   Planned projects include: mulching\, painting eaves\, working on columns\, hanging composites\, cleaning cellar/garage\, painting bedroom third floor\, working on rose room (3rd floor)\, trimming trees\, cleaning up flower beds\, cleaning trophy case\, cleaning short room under Olympic Room.  Bring gloves\, hammer\, folding chair\, cigars\, beer\, pop\, cards for euchre\, tent (if camping on lawn)\, camper\, if camping on lawn. Pete Garofalo (81) and Dave Wall (81) are already hard at work planning the menu for 2026.  All rooms are spoken for at this point. \nWork starts at 9:15AM on Saturday.

DESCRIPTION:Tentative schedule is October 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd and 4th at Sunset Beach Island NC.  Any or all four days\, most likely arrive Thursday afternoon and depart on Sunday.  Course selection is underway with about 40 courses within 30 minutes of the beach house.  Current thinking is Sea Trail at Sunset Beach.  Plan on a daily charge (~$75) for house\, food and beer\, then pay Sergio (Tom Babich) for the golf participation.
